Degrassi: Dirt Off You Shoulder (Part 2)

"Just call me rubber"

This episode, named after a Jay Z song, definitely picked up from part one. We got to really dive into the characters in this episode and see some sad conclusions and interesting set ups.

Eli hates being on his pills and is feeling like a lab rat. Adam refuses to take them away from him, but Imogen is more than happy to. When Eli struggles he ask for the pills back, but Imogen talks him into skipping instead. The two are drawing in the ally when Eli says he is broken without Clare, which leads Imogen to coming up with an idea to help him. Imogen dresses as Clare and does a role playing argument with Eli. Eli brushes it off, but when she triggers a nerve Eli lashes out against "Clare" going as far as to say he hates her. Imogen is pleased to see the passion back in Eli and tells him to put it back into his writing. Eli schedules a lunch interview with Clare about the play. Later at The Dot, Imogen shocks Eli with her knowledge of his past with Fitz and Clare. He accuses her of stalking him, but she convinces him that Clare is making him paranoid. Eli pitches his play to Fiona and she loves it, Imogen congratulates him and tells him the next step is his choice. During his interview with Clare, Eli describes the story of being incredibly similar to his relationship with Clare only she is featured as a bit of a villain. Clare realizes Eli is off his meds and tells him he needs help. But a very dark and disturbed Eli dumps his pills in the trash as he walks away with Imogen.

Riley explains to Zane that he was tricked into a set up with a girl (Athena), but Zane is still upset. Riley wants to make his parents happy but Zane wants Riley to be himself. Zane and Athena both attend Riley's birthday party where his father expresses how proud he is of Riley's accomplishments and expects him to date Athena. Athena informs them that Riley has a "girlfriend". Riley is discreet about this, which causes Zane to excuse himself from the dinner. Riley goes to Anya for advice who makes him see that this situation is not fair to Zane. Riley invites Zane to The Dot, but shocks him when he breaks things off in order to let them both move on with their lives.

KC and Marisol are getting close from working at Little Miss Steaks together. Jenna wants him to buy a video baby monitor, but KC informs her that he wants to quit his job to focus on his family and school. He tells Marisol this, but she instead helps get him promoted to busboy. Jenna worries about him spending so much time with Marisol because Marisol reminds her of herself when she stole KC from Clare. At work, KC tells Marisol he is going to spend more time with Jenna and Tyson but the two share a close hug to thank her for helping him. KC gives her a new MP3 player at school the next day. She thanks him with a kiss on the cheek.

This episode continued the awesome streak of Degrassi episodes from this season. Eli's story was dark and Imogen made a great entrance. Riley and Zane reminds us of Degrassi's bittersweet honest storytelling. And KC and Marisol show how great Degrassi is doing at following stories over the course of episodes. This episode gets an A-, and we hope next week keeps up with these episodes.

Next week Degrassi returns with two part episodes Paper Planes and Should've Said No

Degrassi: Dirt Off Your Shoulder (Part 1)

"That girl is psycho"

Another two part episode began tonight, titled after a Jay-Z song. It brought the anticipated return of Ziley and premiere of Imogen!

Clare is covering the school play for Degrassi Daily, and ex boyfriend Eli is the writer. Eli is noticeably more calm now that he has his anxiety medication. Fiona is pushing Eli to write something deep for her to direct, but Ms. Dawes is not crazy about his ideas, she feels they are lacking compared to his previous work and maybe he should find a new writing partner after Clare. Eli continues to postpone his interview with Clare as he pops more pills and deals with his writer's block. His father Bullfrog tries to get him to lighten his load of work, but Fiona later talks him out of doing so. Later in the media lab, Eli sees Clare with Jake in the hall. Out of frustration Eli smashes a computer to the ground. A girl quickly rushes over and warns him that Ms. Oh is coming. In a matter of seconds she leaps and slams her face into the ground. She makes it look like she tripped and knocked the computer down on accident. Eli later approaches the mystery girl who is nursing her now bleeding nose, and introduces herself, Imogen Mareno. Imogen knows a lot about Eli and his past with Clare. She also informs him that his meds maybe be what is causing his writer's block, they are dulling him. Adam is weirded out by her, but Eli seems intrigued.

Riley's Mom has hardly talked to him since he tried to come out to her. His birthday is approaching as well as his graduation and journey to University. She sets up a meet between him and a family friend named Athena. Riley cancels plans with Zane in order to do this for his mother. Zane and Riley are also in charge of Principal Simpson's healthy initiative to increase exercise at Degrassi. Later with Athena, Riley realizes they were set up on a date. Riley tells Athena that he is gay, and she suggest that he let his parents believe he is one person, and still be himself. Riley's mother is thrilled that he hit it off with Athena and is much warmer towards him now, Riley has a lot to be happy about. But when he leaves his phone lying around, Zane sees a text message from Athena telling him she enjoyed the date. Zane confronts Riley and accuses him of cheating.

Jenna wants to have more time with KC. But KC is taking on more shifts at Little Miss Steaks, leaving Jenna alone even more and causing more tension in their relationship. At work, KC confides his problems in Marisol who tries to entertain him to keep his mind off things. Later Marisol gets him to hang around after work and have fun with their fellow employees. The next date Jenna berates him for choosing work over spending time with his family. At lunch that day, Dave can see clearly that there is flirtation between KC and Marisol.

So far this seems like a decent start up episode. But the true test will come in part two which airs tomorrow. We will post our grade for the full episode tomorrow night along with part two's review.

Tomorrow: Dirt Off Your Shoulder (Part 2)

Degrassi: Cry Me A River (Part 2)

"People are pissed man"

Tonight was the conclusion to the episode named after a Justin Timberlake song. Degrassi proved they can still bring up issues that we rarely see addressed on TV, as well as tell very high school tales.

Dave can feel that people aren't happy with him about referring to Adam as a "tranny" on air. He stands by his freedom of speech rights, however that doesn't stop the LGBT club from petitioning him to be kicked off Degrassi airwaves. A disappointed Dave learns that Sav agrees and kicks him off the show, leaving Adam to host alone. Dave recruits Wesley and Conner to join him in putting on dresses and going into the girls' washroom to prove a point. The boys leave Dave to protest on his own. Adam walks into Dave as he is getting thrown out of the girls' washroom in his wig and dress. Dave reminds Adam that he is not really a guy and should not be hosting the show, Adam knocks Dave down and the two begin to fight which gets broken up by Principal Simpson. Dave's father sits in as Dave is punished for his actions, and Dave still shows no remorse for what he has said. Later in detention Adam reminds Dave that black people were discriminated against similarly 50 years ago. Dave later locks himself in the recording room where he forces the school to listen to his apology. Once the door is unlocked Adam joins him and the two go back to hosting Mano a Mano. Dave politely questions Adam about being transgendered on air so Adam can share with the school. The two appear to be cool again.

Fiona is no longer skipping, as she does not want to risk being sent back to New York. She worries about not hearing from Charlie since her mother embarrassed her by yelling at her in front of Charlie. Fiona visits Charlie at work to witness her fighting with her friend, when she questions Fiona is pushed away and Charlie tells her to go back to high school. Fiona goes back to feeling lonely so Holly J tells her to find some sort of project to get involved in. Fiona goes to drama class where Eli begs her to come up with something, as she is the only person with good taste in the class. Fiona suggest that they let Eli write the play, which leads to Fiona being appointed as director. Fiona is later greeted by Charlie who shows up to apologize. Charlie is now homeless and stressed out. Fiona invites Charlie to stay with her, which Holly J warns is a bad idea.

Clare is frustrated that Katie will not allow her on the paper. Clare stops by and pays Katie a visit in the newspaper room. She explains that she had a rough semester with her ex boyfriend Eli and needs this to move on and keep her mind off of it. Katie still refuses to let her join the paper. At lunch, Alli begs her big school president brother Sav to talk to Katie. Later Katie informs Clare that Sav berated her for not having enough grade 10's on her staff. Katie offers a clean slate with no grudges and invites Clare to join. Her first assignment is covering the school play which is being written by Clare's ex boyfriend Eli Goldsworthy.

There were no crazy intense or emotional moments as many had speculated. But transgender issues are being touched on in ways that no other show has done before, and Degrassi deserves praise for that. Fiona's story proves to be one of the many that suffers from having a character outside of Degrassi with no ties to the other characters. But her predictability was nice to see, the rich girl who wants people to like her offering Charlie a place to stay. We have gotten to know Fiona quite well. Katie has made a nice entrance as not quite the Queen Bee but still a force to be reckoned with. This episode gets a B+, it also sets up for more stories to come with all of these characters which is great to see.

Pretty Little Liars: Surface Tension

"It's not even the good kind of candy"

This season the show is really focusing on more than just the four liars. We're seeing more of their parents, siblings, acquaintances, etc. While it's a nice move, it really made this episode lack when it came to how much story time the girls got.

Emily hardly had anything going on in this episode. She is now living with Hanna and her mother, she is making them breakfast and letting them know how grateful she is for being welcomed into their home. Her only problem is how distracting Hanna can be when "every night is a sleepover". She also is having pains that she says are from her longer work outs for swimming.

Hanna is enjoying having Emily staying at her house. Her only worries lie in Caleb who is struggling for money and refuses to accept anymore help from Hanna. She tells him she does not like seeing him do sketchy stuff to get money. Caleb informs her of the difference between sketchy and criminal. Caleb previously got involved with some bad guys who stole cars, and when he got out they were angry. Luckily he was gone before they did anything to him. She suggest he go to the police but he refuses and makes her promise to keep his secret to herself, as she is now the only person he has told. Later while she is chilling with Emily, Hanna sees her parents laughing, kissing, and walking to the bedroom together.

Spencer's father has hired Toby to do some work at their house around the barn. He has already nixed Jason's plans to build a fence that would have been on their property. Things are going well, Toby has got a head start and even had some design ideas that were well received by Mr. Hastings. Spencer is talking to Garret (their cop buddy), who tells her that Logan is gone and she should stop pushing for questions since Ian confessed and is dead. Meanwhile, Toby discovers part of a field hockey stick in the Hastings backyard. When Peter (Spencer's father) sees this he takes it and assures Toby not to worry about it. Toby tells Spencer who realizes that it was her stick that she lent to Alison. She and Aria remember Jason jokingly trying to hit Alison with it at one point. Peter tells Toby not to inform Spencer of what he found, Toby tells him that he already has but lies and says Spencer was not interested in it. Later Spencer sees her father about to burn it, she begs him not to. He is tired of the investigation, Ian is dead and now it's time for them to move on. Spencer watches as her father throws the stick into the fire. Spencer worries her father thinks she is trying to cause more drama and attention. While she is talking more with Garret, she gets a text message from Aria warning her not to trust him.

Aria's family is having a dinner party and Ezra has been invited. Aria asks him not to go but he tells her that it would be best for their relationship if he came and let people see them as friends. Aria runs into Jason, who is planning on talking to the troubled kids at Rosewood, and finds out that he will be joining the get together as well. Their parents really want Mike to go, and he is ordered to attend. While at school, Aria's mother questions her about who could have pulled that "prank" at the fashion show, but Aria assures her that she has no idea. Ezra and Jason are both present at the dinner party where everything comes to a halt when the police arrive to inform them that Mike has been arrested for breaking into a home. Aria's parents rush to see their son and eventually Aria is left with Ezra and Jason. She confides in Jason (the other person who knew about Mike's trouble), she blames herself but Jason tells her that she cannot beat herself up for what her brother does. Ezra doesn't seem happy to see Aria chatting with Jason. Later Aria asks the men to leave after she finds the pottery Jenna made in class among the stolen items that Mike has. She later confronts Mike who tells her he got the pottery from Garret's apartment. Aria realizes that Garret is connected to Jenna and alerts her friends.

We also see that the Mom's are getting suspicious about everything that has happened this past year with the girls.

A sends Hanna and Emily a basket with a card that says: "What fun, two liars under one roof. You're making it so easy." - A.

At the end we see "A" injecting some liquid with a needle into a bottle.

This episode was lacking major with our Liars. We hardly saw Emily, and very little of Hanna. Plus the stories themselves just aren't flowing and everything just seems to be thrown together. Let's hope the episodes bounce back up soon. There was still some good drama and twists, the girls finally know Garret is working with Jenna, and Spencer's father is making the plot even more twisted and interesting. We give this episode a B-, the episode just didn't have enough excitement to make up for the dull moments this time. But it's Pretty Little Liars and they still have enough surprises to keep them from getting a very low grade.

Degrassi: Cry Me A River (Part 1)

"You are drama"

The beginning of the second week of Degrassi: Now or Never! Tonight the show switched back to it's two part episode format from last summer. The episode, titled after a Justin Timberlake song, featured another story for the groundbreaking character Adam, and the introduction of new character Katie.

Degrassi is airing a radio show during lunch and auditions are being held. Sadie encourages Dave to ask Sav about it. Dave finds out that he and Adam have both pitced simaler manly themed shows. Sav informs them that they will compete on air and let the students decide. The two go on air and the students are immidiantly entertained by their banter and initial rivarly. The two are offered to cohost the Mano a Mano segment. Their partnership turns sour when Adam surprises Dave by joining him in the boy's washroom, and Dave catches Adam staring at him. Dave later wants out but Sav tells him how popular their segment has become and Dave is tempted by the thought of getting his name out there and making his father proud. Adam tells Eli that he was just curious about how guy's stand at the urinal, and Adam has purchased a device to help him pee standing up. The two guys try to put the situation behind them but Adam once again tries to prove himself as a guy by peeing at the urinal when Dave goes into the washroom. When Dave peaks to see how this is possible, Adam drops his peeing aid and it falls on him and Dave, which leads to Dave rushing out in disgust. Later the boys are back doing their show when Dave shocks Adam, Sav and the rest of Degrassi by stating that girls shouldn't be allowed in the boy's washroom, and he mentions a tranny staring at him. Adam runs out of the room and Sav cuts Dave off air, and expresses his disapproval.

Fiona starts her first day in Grade 11 drama. Fiona's alcoholism and other problems have led to her being behind in credits. Fiona will not be graduating this year with Holly J and the rest of her class. Fiona is embarrassed that she has no friends in her new class and feels left out when it's time to join groups. Fiona has a hard time making friends and worries about her next year at Degrassi. She wants to start spending more time with Charlie (her love interest from Spring Break). She meets her at her work and surprises her with a picnic lunch, she is uncomfortable when a female friend of Charlie's shows up but Fiona invites her to join. Later Fiona brings Charlie back to her place where Charlie invites her to come bowling that night (something Fiona has never done). Fiona is surprised when her mother shows up and is angry that Fiona is missing school again, when she is already behind. Fiona promises she'll work harder when her mother suggest she come back to New York if Degrassi won't work out. The next day she is trying to get ahold of Charlie to apologize for missing the night before, but Charlie won't respond.

Clare and Alli are looking around for clubs to join when Clare decides to join the paper Degrassi Daily. She approaches editor Katie Maitlin who reminds her that you have to be selected to join. She tells Clare to write a 100 word paper on 10 ways to get over a break up, something Clare is going through. Clare later shows her paper to Alli who suggest she trim it down, but Clare believes Katie will appreciate her expanding it. Clare takes it to Katie who is unsatisfied with Clare's failure to follow her basic rules and does not invite her to join the paper.

So far this seems like a great build up. Another interesting chapter in Adam's life as a transgendered teen, once again being told honestly. A nice introduction to Katie to give us an idea of what to expect from her. Fiona's story seems to prove that stories/relationships outside of Degrassi have a harder time holding our attention. It's nice seeing more activities such as drama, radio and newspaper. Tomorrow a grade for the overall part 1 and 2 will be posted with part 2's recap.

Tomorrow: Cry Me A River (Part 2):

Degrassi: Idioteque

"As if we're done talking about this!"

The end of the first week of Degrassi: Now or Never. This week was powerful, fun, smart, and it still felt like Degrassi. They are slowly intergrating the new characters, and the episodes are flowing quite well together. This episode, which was named after a Radiohead song, continued most of the stories from the last episode and really stepped it up as a great episode to end the week on.

Drew has Bianca over at his house, they are all alone, what should they do? Bianca is ready for their first time together (not counting oral in the boiler room of course. The two are disappointed when Drew is unable to perform. Drew is stressed and paranoid 24/7, which leads to more embarrassing moments at school.  He is beginning to blame Bianca for him living in fear now because of what happend over Spring Break. He tells Bianca he needs space. Dave tells Drew he is being to hard on her and suggest he go talk to her. But Drew can't shake his paranoia and the next day fakes being sick to stay home from school. His mother is happy to hear that he is taking time away from Bianca. Bianca stops by to visit him and sees how terrified he is, he is considering changing schools. Bianca tells Drew she'll do whatever it takes to make him forgive her and keep him safe. She's goes to Vince and asks what she has to do to stop him from hurting Drew. He invites her back to his place, and when she realizes it's her only option, she agrees. Drew visits Bianca after school and asks her what she did to get Vince to back off but she does not want to talk about it. Drew then tells her he wants to break up so the two can have a fresh start. Drew is later confronted by Vince's friends who attack him in the street. Drew begs for his life, but the guys assure him that they aren't killing him... yet. As they leave a crowd circles around a bloody Drew.

Anya's friend don't know she hasn't been accepted into University. Fiona is freaked to see that Owne posted a status claiming he had a one-night stand at Fiona's party. Holly J and Fiona express their disgust which keeps Anya from confessing that it was her. Anya orders Owen to change his status, Owen tells her she needs to give him one date, but she refuses. Later Riley questions Anya about Owen, turns out Owen is posting clues about the girl who's name "Starts with an A and ends with an A". Anya decided to leave him a message, dissing their night together. Anya notices she is getting a lot of attention later, her friends Holly J and Fiona inform her that someone must have hacked her account and wrote on Owen's FaceRange wall. Anya realizes her mistake of accidentally posting her message for everyone and confesses to her friends. She walks away feeling embarrassed in front of her friends who find Owen disgusting. Owen visits Anya at The Dot and tells her he was never going to out them and that he was hurt by her. Anya realizes her friends don't know anything about Owen, or about her for that matter. Anya kisses Owen again, this time with a smile.

Wesley questions Conner about the night before, but Conner is vague about what happened. They pass Ms. Oh who is about to shower in the locker room., which gives Conner and idea. Conner and Wesley sneak into the locker room where Conner pulls a "prank" by stealing Ms. Oh's underwear. The next day Wesley sees Fiona's underwear in Conner's locker and realizes this wasn't a one time prank. He orders Conner to stop doing this. Conner later sneaks into the girl's locker room and steals more underwear.

This episode gets an A, hands down. Drew is once again acting like a jerk, but he's in enough danger that we feel sorry for him. Anya's story is being told very well and obviously leading to something much bigger than some random hook up with Owen. The same goes for Conner's storyline. Degrassi no longer wraps everything up at the end of an episode, and gives you a feeling of wanting to tune in for more.

Next week returns with two part episodes Cry Me A River and Dirt Off Your Shoulder:

Degrassi: What's My Age Again?

"Surprise!!!!"

This episode was surely a surprise for one reason, or should we say four. This episode was named after a Blink-182 song and featured FOUR different plots going on. This seems to be a first for Degrassi, the usual formula is two plots for one part episodes and three for two part episodes. In a way it works for the telenovela format, though it was tough to get excited since only so much can happen with so many stories in 30 minutes.

Anya's 18th birthday is here!!! Her and her friends are coming up with themes for her party. Anya calls up Dr. Chris to remind him that she is now 18 and to invite him to her party. While he cannot make the party, he invites her to dinner. Owen is still lusting after her, but she informs him that she is not interested in him. Anya meets Dr. Chris for dinner where her breaks the news that he is joining doctors without boarders and is leaving the country. Anya is heart broken but comforted that they would have had a shot otherwise. Can her day get any worse? She did not get accepted into TU. Anya makes the most out of her situation and presents the idea of joining Dr. Chris on his next step. He shoots the idea down and Anya realizes he was not as serious about her as she was about him. An emotional Anya goes to Fiona's and is surprised by a party for her birthday. She tries to hold it together but eventually rushes to Fiona's bedroom to cry. Owen comes in and somewhat comforts her which leads to a liplock and possibly more on Fiona's bed.

Drew is dealing with his legal ramifications of the murder over Spring Break. Drew has taken the fall for killing Anson and things seem to be working out. His major worry is that Vince, the thug who threatened his life, will be after him. Drew is upset later to find out that they couldn't hold Vince and he was released. Drew's mother reminds him that she warned him against Bianca, which only upsets Drew more. Drew and Bianca celebrate being done with the drama by skipping class.

Conner's friends all have girlfriends, and he is feeling left out. His sexual urges are beginning to take more control over him. Hannah catches him staring at her chest and is immediately offended. Wesley tries to give him advice and tells him he needs a girlfriend. The three of them get invited to Anya's suprise party where Conner mistakenly tries to hit on Fiona, which leads to Fiona and Holly J laughing at him. An embarrassed Conner goes into Fiona's bedroom which leads him to her underwear drawer. Conner is fasinated by her undergarments and leaves with them when Anya bursts in and asks him to leave so she can be alone.

Jenna is now living with KC. He still wants to have a fun life, but Jenna needs him to spend more time with her and the baby. When the baby's crying is too much for KC he makes an excuse to leave and heads to Little Miss Steaks for a break. He asks Marisol about getting hired there, since she works as a waitress. KC passes it off as trying to do something good for Jenna and the baby, so Jenna approves.

This almost seemed like the beginning of a two-part episode. It was surprising to see four different plots going on, but somehow it sort of worked. One could speculate that Idioteque will pick up where all the stories left off on What's My Age Again?, but we shall see. This episode could have had a high grade, but with so many stories going on, there was little progression. It was sort of the opposite of last nights, where two stories could progress in a half and hour, four cannot. Still this gets a B due to starting some interesting stories.

Tomorrow's episode: Idioteque

Degrassi: LoveGame

"Did you ever love me at all!?!?!"

The first regular episode of season 11, and the first one part episode since season 9. Degrassi returned tonight with an episode titled after a song by Lady Gaga. This episode was not as crazy intense as last night's, but it was real Degrassi drama.

We start off with a great beginning scene of everyone comnig back after Spring Break. This picks up more where Drop the World left off. We see Marisol and Katie hugging in the background while Dave and Sadie get their gang together to catch up. Dave also asks Adam how Drew is doing post the Spring Break craziness. Holly J, Anya and Fiona realize how close they are to graduating, and Holly J goes to start the announcments with now ex boyfriend Sav.

Clare has not heard anything from Eli since she broke up with him before break. She is expecting a big emotional scene at school, but is suprised when a cool and calm Eli arrives passes with his cane. She questions Adam and tries to figure out what's going on. Later she is forced to have dinner with childhood aquaintance Jake, whom Alli is immidiantly attracted to. Her mother has Jake and his father over for dinner, and Clare uses Jake as an excuse to meet her friends at Above the Dot. She takes him there and introduces him to the gang. She clearly uses him to make Eli jealous to no avail. Finally Clare breaks down and screams at Eli, asking him how he could get over her so quickly when he took forever to get over Julia. Jake drags Clare out after she makes a huge scene. He tries to straighten her out and kisses Clare, leaving her almost speechless. The next day Clare apoligizes to Eli and finds out that he doesn't feel anything at the moment do to his anxiety medication. Clare feels bad and watches as an emotionless Eli walks away.

Jenna is taking the rest of the semester off to take care of her new son Tyson. She tries to visit KC at school but he seems less than thrilled to see her. Her brother does not approve of KC slacking off on his end of the parenting. Jenna struggles to take care of Tyson on her own and is heartbroken when KC chooses to hang out with his friends instead of take care of his son with her. Jenna brings Tyson to Above the Dot and gives him to KC so she can hang out with her friends. Jenna can barely stay awake and confesses to Alli that she cannot stand to be away from her son, because she feels she is all he has. KC is not the father she thought he would be. Later KC asks his mother's permission to have Jenna move in, which she agrees to. An emotional Jenna is thrilled when KC invites her to move in.

This episode was not crazy intense and nothing huge or new happened. But it was a good episode for Degrassi. It brought the kids back to school and introduced us to one of the new characters. We saw a pretty honest portrayal of teen parenthood. Clare is embarrassing herself but actually becomming a more developed character. Much like when Emma put down the protest signs and started becomming more than cause girl. Clare showed that her maturity does not make her a grown up, and she still has moments where she can act immature and needy. This episode gets a B, the drama was more relatable and the characters are getting more fleshed out.

Tomorrows's episode: What's My Age Again?

Pretty Little Liars: Never Letting Go

"One of a kind and all mine. Just like you guys."

This week's episode seemed like a transition episode. Old stories were getting wrapped up, but with enough openings to tear them back again later, and new stories began. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of Jason and Samara, as well as Hanna and Spencer's fathers. This episode is right after the girls realize that Ian may not have killed Alison after all.

Aria is with the girls discussing "A" and getting ready for the fashion show coming up when she gets a text message. She lets her friends believe it's from Ezra when it's actually from Jason. Jason tells her he should not have confided in her, but she assures him that his secret is safe with her. She later stands up for him when Spencer talks about how dangerous he could be. The girls get an email from Jessica DeLaurentis (Ali's Mom). She meets them all for lunch and gives them Alison's dresses to wear for the fashion show, which they hesitantly agree to. Aria talks to her Mom about people blacking out and forgetting a whole day of their lives. Her mother tells her that sometimes they just need something to jog their memory. Aria meets Jason to pick out pictures for the slideshow dedication to Alison at the show. Her attempt to jog his memory with old pictures is obvious and Jason feels like he's being interegated, which causes him to leave. While at the fashion show the girls are shocked when someone edits Alison's slideshow with a Bitch is Back theme with the words "Evil" "Monster" and "Bitch" on the screen. Noel, who was the DJ, taunts Aria when he brings the DVD over which Jason takes and breaks. Aria tells Jason she wishes people would let Alison rest, but everyone wants the "dirty details". Jason drives Aria home.

Emily's Mom is lonely without Emily's Dad. Emily suggests that her mother move to be with him now and let Emily stay here until the school year is over in June. Her mother says she'll think about it. Later she invites Samara to the fashion show along with a friend Samara already had plans with. Emily is worried when she sees how touchy Samara is with her friend. She confronts her about it and Samara assures her that they are just friends, but reminds her that she's the one who wanted to take things slow. Emily's mother later tells her that she agrees to go be with her father while Emily finishes her school year and has Hanna's mother looking after her.

Hanna's friends are all pushing her to get official with Caleb again, but she does not want to jump into a relationship with him. She is unhappy with her father and mother getting close again. Her father brings her lunch and tries to talk with her about working on their relationship, but Hanna accuses him of using her to get close to her Mom, whom she suspects he still loves. After seeing her parents dancing at the crazy fashion show Hanna is walked home by Caleb. When she arrives her Dad informs her that he is not ready to leave yet. A more warm Hanna says she'll see him in the morning.

Spencer's friends notice she is more romantic and less serious due to her relationship with Toby. Melissa is on a trip at the moment so Spencer is not dealing with that problem at the moment. She overhears her father on the phone with Jessica DiLaurentis, aruging about Jason being in town. Her father immidiantly lies when she questions him about it. Spencer is upset to find out that Mona has taken over the fashion show and her place at the head of the committee due to Spencer being MIA lately. She vents to Toby who suggest she just be happy that the bad stuff is over. After seeing her father arguing with Jessica again, she questions him directly. He tells her not to worry, but sternly warns her to stay away from Jason DiLaurentis.

After the fashion show, "A" left the girls a message which they saw on the wall that read "My Dresses. My Game, My Rules - A". We also see A spelled out in glasses and in the final scene we see "A" buying boots online.

This episode was not one of the best for PLL. This season has been awesome so far, always something exciting while still telling relatable stories as well. This episode was far from bad, but it just was not up to par. We would give this a B- for this one. They focused less on "A" which is not necessarily a bad thing, but where did they focus? No Ezra, Melissa, or Lucas, and very little Caleb. It seems they are moving the girls in new directions, and hopefully this next arc of stories will get better.

Degrassi: Spring Fever

Degrassi is back on the air! Tonight Degrassi returned to it's telenovela summer format! 4 episodes a week for 7 weeks! They kicked things off with the special Spring Fever! 3 words to describe this episode: cute, romantic, intense...

Drew and Bianca are enjoying their new relationship this semester. Bianca uses her dance skills to win tickets to the Keke Palmer concert, which she shares with Drew's friends and their girlfriends. As they leave an ex boyfriend of Bianca's named Anson starts hollering at them. The two later go back to Drew's house but lose track of time and Drew is busted having a girl over at 4am. Now he is grounded from the concert and his friends remind him that he should worry about letting a girl like Bianca go to a concert alone. Drew's mom does not approve of Bianca and orders him to stay home. He later sneaks out and goes to the concert anyways just as Bianca is being confronted by Anson again. She warns Drew that Ansons is dangerous and involved in a gang, but Drew berates her and accuses her of cheating. KC later reminds Drew that not everyone has a life as nice as his. He tries to find Bianca before something bad happens. However, Bianca is grabbed by Anson and dragged into a nearby ally where he attempts to rape her. Drew finds them and grabs him off. The two fight and Anson pounds on Drew, Bianca begs him to stop and finally smashes his head with a brick. The two run off and Bianca drops her new ID bracelet just as one of the gang membes runs up. The next morning Drew and Bianca find out Anson has died, but Bianca won't risk going to jail by turning herself in. Later they are confronted by gang member Vincent who threatens their lives. Later he requests that Drew join in on their gang antics and shoot someone in order to save his own life. In the end Drew makes the decision to confess to Dave's cop father and take the fall for what happened to Anson. Bianca watches as Drew leaves in the cop car.

Fiona is all set to go to the Caribbean and hopes to find love, but her plans end up being cancelled due to a volcano. She reluctantly joins Holly J in her art class for the break. There she meets Charlie, whom she is instantly infatuated with. Fiona later flirts with her over her scooter and Fiona nervously lies and says she has her own scooter and is invited to go for a ride sometime. She and Holly J try and find a way to get a scooter and licence in time but are unsuccesful. The next day Fiona admits her situation to her which leads to Charlie confirming that she is a lesbian as well. After making sure Fiona isn't involved with anyone, Charlie invites her for a ride around town. The two later go back to Fiona's place and sketch each other. While Fiona poses in her bikini the two begin to make out, but Fiona pulls away and suggest they go back to drawing. The next day Fiona explains she wants to take things slow as friends first, which Charlie happily agrees to.

Sav and Alli spend a lot of time together with painting the inside of their house for their parents. Sav is still down about being dumped by Holly J. While out he runs into a mysterious girl who invites him to the Keke Palmer concert. Sav is shocked to find out that she is indeed Keke Palmer, who pulls him up on stage. The next day after beginning to miss her, Sav tracks down Keke. She convinces him to ditch her people and hang out for a bit. The two chat at The Dot and share a kiss before Keke leaves. Sav later video chats with her and says he enjoyed the boost she gave him. Sav is getting back to his old self and getting over his broken heart.

This has to be one of Degrassi's greatest season premieres! It could be the best, it is definitly up there with season 2's "When Doves Cry" and season 7's "Standing in the Dark". Luke Bilyk and Alicia Josipovic proved themselves as actors, as well as their characters Drew and Bianca. We finally saw a more human side to Bianca and a side of Drew we can have sympathy for. That scene in the ally is one of Degrassi's most intense moments of all time. Fiona's love story was written very well, and even if it is shortlived, this was still a good story for Fiona's first lesbian romance. Even Sav's little story was cute and Keke Palmer was a nice guest to see. This was a great way to kick off season 11 instead of trying to build up something like last year, they really did start off with a bang (though no gunshots were fired in this episode). This episode gets an A and not lightly. Degrassi brought it tonight and let's hope the rest of Now or Never can live up to this. The bar has been raised.

Tomorrow's episode: LoveGame.

Pretty Little Liars: The Devil You Know

"And I thought my no party crashers policy was strict"

Thank you Pretty Little Liars for reminding us of the show we fell in love with last summer. This may have been the most exciting episode of the season. The last episode left off with the emotion and shock over finding Ian's dead body next to a suicide note in which he confessed to murdering Alison. This episode has so many shocking revelations that it can get confusing. Also if you pay close attention you'll realize a little over a week has gone by since the Season 1 finale. We soon find out that Ian had been dead for a week, which leads us to believe that he may have actually died from being hung.

Aria confides her feelings about Ian's death in Ezra. The two are hoping they can have a real relationship, but the second his ex Jackie walks in the room, they both switch back to parading around as teacher and student. They hope to start off introducing each other as "friends" before the big reveal. This is later unsuccessful when Ezra reverts back to the teacher role for the funeral and sits with Aria's parents. Later Aria is stunned when Jason brings Mike home, after he tried to break into his house. Aria discovers that Mike was the one breaking into their houses and who knocked her down previously. Mike once again reminds Aria of what it could do to their family if she rats on him. After the funeral Aria once again has a talk with Jason. He confesses his jealousy of Alison and their parents adoration for her. He also makes a shocking confession that he blacked out the night Alison died and had been under the impression that he may have been the one to kill her, but since he believes it was Ian he is no longer worried. He even shows Aria a note he recieved saying "I know what you did".

Leading the "A" mystery is now on the shoulders of Emily (a role that Spencer had in the first four episodes of this season). The other Liars are ready to move on but Emily is more skeptical. She continues looking a picture of the suicide note and gets a text from "A" that reads "Hey Em, is it just me or does the suicide not look familiar?" Later she is picking up a package for her Mom and recognizes the employee as Logan Reed, the decoy hired to distract the girls from Ian in the Season 1 finale. Emily is now inspired to review their past text messages from "A". She later shocks the girls when she points out that the note was made up of the text messages such as "She knew too much" and "Come find me". Ian never confessed to Alison's murder. She later pressures Logan who confesses that a woman hired him, he never met her or Ian. Emily tries to share this with Spencer, but she wants to move on. Emily confides some of her theories in her cop friend Garret. He promises to look into it but apparently is still working with Jenna. After another message from "A" that reads "Sometimes the distance between point A to point B is the long way around", Emily takes the girls to the cemetary.

Hanna's mother confesses that this past year she has been living in fear that something horrible could happen to Hanna. Hanna assures her the nightmare is over now. Caleb checks on Hanna and the two begin to have a friendship again. Hanna finds out about Caleb's foster mom keeping the money she recieves for him while he's still living with Lucas. Hanna later takes it upon herself to stand up to Caleb's foster mom with empty threats. Which later work and push Hanna and Caleb into a liplock at the end of the episode. Hanna talks with her Mom about her grandfather whom her mother had a bad relationship with, and Hanna promises to be respectful at the funeral.

The Hasting family is debating on what to do about Ian's funeral. Melissa remains in a silent depression, so Spencer stands up and tells her family that they need to have a funeral for Ian. Her mother later apoligizes for not believing Spencer and pushing her away from her friends. The Hasting family holds a service for Ian, and use security to keep out unwanted guests. Spencer recieves a text from "A" warning her about the ring "Would Mommy hug a thief? Tell the truth Spencer or get the ring when you least expect it". Spencer is ready to confess to Melissa, but Melissa stops her and begins apoligizing. Right as Melissa is about to confess a secret to Spencer, another "ring" comes unexpectadly. Ian's cell phone is ringing from Spencer's purse. Spencer has no idea how it got there, but Melissa jumps to the conclusion that Spencer was behind the texts that had supposedly came from Ian. Melissa berates Spencer and storms out.

The girls go the cemetary with Emily. They are shocked when they see "A" projecting the last video of Alison with Ian. Only this time the video plays on and reveales that Alison was still alive after Ian left, leaving them to the conclusion that Ian is not the murder! This raises a million more questions. This episode gets the grade A, it reminds us of how incredibly shocking and exciting Pretty Little Liars can be and proves that they haven't even begun to run out of fuel on this show.

More 90210 Casting News!!!!

New characters and two of them are for the former West Bev Queen Bee, Naomi Clark.

Megalyn Echikunwoke has been cast as Naomi's new rival and sorority sister Holly who will make life complicated for Naomi. Justin Deeley (who apparently had a small role in the 90210 finale as a character named Terry), will be playing cowboy Austin who is a new love interest for Naomi, but will of course start out as someone completely different from her type. Sounds like more evidence that Naomi and Max having a pregnancy storyline isn't happening. Could 90210 be doing an abortion story? Or will they just reveal Naomi was wrong? Or could the pregnancy still be a go? (Though that seems unlikely at this point.

We still await casting news of Navid's younger sister Jasmeen, and Annie's new love interest Gabe. It's already been announced that the character of Jane will be played by Kristina Apgar: Liam's new love interest
