Tonight Degrassi concluded the episode titled after a song by The Killers. The stories are truly flowing together nicely this season and the continuity deserves praise.
Adam is awoken in the night by Drew working out on a punching bag downstairs. He complains about the weight room being guarded thanks to Katie. Adam tells Drew that if Katie likes him then he should go for it. Drew later brings Katie and apologetic coffee, which leads to her apologizing for the article. Drew then offers to join the paper as the sports writer. Katie offers him a tryout and invites him to meet with everyone after school. The guys are still angry at Drew for helping Katie with her article, but he apologizes and they tell him about another where the fights are held. Drew tells them he can't make it due to joining the school paper. At the meeting Drew falls asleep and has flashbacks to getting jumped. When he awakens he rushes out and meets the guys at the fights. He immediately joins in and gets caught up in a fight that leaves him passed out on the ground. Owen and Julian rush inside the cage to check on him. The next day Julian sees Drew working out and advises him to focus on Katie and the newspaper before he gets himself killed. Katie later questions him off the record, and he confesses about his fears and nightmares since he was jumped. Katie offers to find other ways to help him outside of the fights. The two share a kiss but Drew pulls away, as he is afraid of screwing things up for her as well. Drew later goes back to the fights for a rematch. A much more intense Drew knocks the guy out, but continues beating on him after he taps out. Katie and Julian run in to pull him off before he kills the guy. Katie assures everyone that Drew is not coming back there again, and takes him home. The next day he meets Katie in the gym so she can teach him taekwondo. The two flirt a bit before Katie flips Drew over on his back. Drew once again declares his like for Katie.
Alli tells Dave that she just wanted her parents to like him when he visited. But Dave thinks that since she wants to be honest then she should expect the same from him as well. Alli then invites him back over to her house, this time as Dave. She then goes home and confesses to her parents that Dave is actually her boyfriend. They still think she is too young, but figure it was bound to happen. They allow her to invite Dave over. Alli reintroduces Dave to her parents as himself, and they have a fun conversation which leads to a game of poker. Alli wins the game and the night ends with everyone on good terms. Alli and Dave are happy and plan to have the whole summer together. The next day at school Alli is telling Clare everything when her science teacher informs her that she got into the summer program that she applied for. She now realizes she has to choose between the program and spending the summer with Dave.
A more calm Holly J meets with Dawn and apologizes for her behavior as she understands Dawn's situation. Dawn wishes she could afford to give her kidney to Holly J. The two plan to find the silver lining by getting to know each other without the kidney drama. The two enjoy a lunch of discussing prom and graduation. Later Holly J tries on Fiona's dress and Fiona gives it to her for the prom. Holly J shows her pictures of Dawn in her prom dress on the computer. Fiona loves the dress and then offers to buy the dress from Dawn... for $20,000. Holly J later presents this idea to Dawn who happily accepts it. Holly J later tells her mother but leaves out the details that Fiona is indirectly buying the kidney from her. Holly J lets her Mom and Fiona know how much she loves them.
The main plot was a great way to introduce a new issue, but it just was not as intense as one may have hoped. The subplots were great and obviously Dave and Alli's story is leading somewhere bigger. This episode gets a B. We are getting so close to the summer finale.
The surprises, secrets, and lies never stop in Rosewood. Tonight's episode once again proved that the show is still packed with drama, and not showing any signs of slowing down. This episode was directed by Chad Lowe who plays Aria's father Byron.
Spencer and Toby are packing up Ian's things, and stumble upon and old yearbook. They look up his activities and see the N.A.T. club, which Spencer does not recognize. They look through yearbooks from before and after that year, none list the club. However, they notice that the other two members are Garret Reynolds and Jason DiLaurentis. She then finds a T-shirt that says "Nos Animadverto Totus", which is Latin for "We See All". Spencer now suspects that Jason and Garret were a part of Ian's perverted actions of videotaping the girls, and that one of them may have killed Alison for having the evidence. Spencer worries about Aria, and confides in Ezra. She tells him that she knows about his relationship with Aria and warns him about how dangerous Jason is, even telling him about the pictures they found. Neither of them notice that Aria's mom is watching. Spencer later walks downstairs at her house to find Jenna in her living room. Jenna warns her to stop digging, and insists that she is heading into danger. Spencer throws her out and asks her to say hi to Garret, letting her know that she is aware of their relationship. Aria later lets Spencer know that she isn't angry at her for telling Ezra.
Hanna's mother wants her to try to be happy for her father finding love with Isabel. Hanna skips the college fair at school to go to her bridesmaid dress fitting with Mona. Mona mocks the dress and Hanna's new family. But the two are surprised when Hanna's soon to be step-sister Kate shows up and invites them to join her for lunch. Mona is surprised at how fashionable and classy Kate appears and accepts the invitation for both of them, to Hanna's dismay. Mona lies about her horse riding skills which leads to the girls being invited to join them for a ride. Mona has the girls go ahead while she attempts to show Hanna the ropes. The two end up losing the horses and having to search for them. Hanna accuses Mona of only showing interest in Kate because of her class. Hanna later apologizes when they get back. She goes on to rant and insult Kate and her mother, which is heard over the intercom. Hanna rushes out to apologize but an upset Kate walks away with her friends. At home, Hanna expects an angry phone call from her father, but instead gets a pleasant one telling her mother that things went well. Hanna is put on the phone with Kate and apologizes for what she said. Kate tells her not to worry about it and lets her know that she is seeking revenge against Hanna, then welcomes her into the family.
"A" seems to be targeting Emily, which is leaving Emily tense and stressed. Hanna's mother gives Emily a gift certificate to a spa to get a massage. While eating her cereal she notices that all the letters are A's and gets a message in the box from "A" tell her that the weakest link is the easiest to break. She also runs into their former therapist, Dr. Sullivan who offers to talk to her again if she wants. Emily tells her that there is still stuff that they have not shared with her, but Emily needs to. Emily goes to get a relaxing massage later that day. The masseuse steps out but later as Emily is face down, she feels an amazing massage. Shortly after, the masseuse returns and apologizes running late. Emily is horrified to find out that someone else was massaging her, and sees "A" left their initial on a glass of water. As she gets ready to call Dr. Sullivan, she gets a message from "A" remind her how easily they can get their hands around her neck. Emily is now upset knowing that if she had looked up from the table that she would finally know who "A" is. She does not tell her friends about her plans to see Dr. Sullivan again.
Aria questions Jason about the pictures her friends found at his place. He tells her that the pictures were taken by Alison, he was just developing them. He also claims he moved the equipment because it's expensive and he feared it would be stolen. Aria apologizes but points out how bad it looked. Meanwhile Aria's mother runs into Dr. Sullivan and asks about getting Mike into a therapist. It's the college fair at school and Aria see Ezra. She goes to approach him but changes her mind when she sees him with Jackie. Later he walks over to chat with her but gets the cold shoulder. She tells him that Jackie still likes him and she doesn't trust her. Ezra assures her that he has no feelings for Jackie anymore. Aria accidentally lets it slip that she kissed Jason. Before Ezra can react, Jackie walks over and request his help. Jackie lets Aria know that college will be good for her, and make her see how naive she is now. Jason later sits with Aria and shows her the pictures that Alison took. He informs her of a box of Alison's that he found, which intrigues Aria but he assures her that it's just filled with girl stuff. He still offers to let her see it and she follows him to his place. Once they get their he goes to get it from his shed while she chooses to wait in the yard. Ezra pulls up and tells Aria that Spencer warned him about Jason, and he knows about the pictures. He tells her that he doesn't want to lose her, and he is tired of hiding. Ezra is ready to go public with their relationship and wants to start with her parents. The two share a kiss witnessed by Jason, who then gives Aria the box of Alison's. Aria thanks him gets in the car with Ezra. At home Aria's mother asks her to help Mike get used to the idea of going to therapy. She then tells her that she saw Ezra with Spencer and questions if something is going on. Aria assures her nothing is going on but questions how she would feel about it. Ella makes it clear to her daughter that she would feel betrayed if she found out Ezra took advantage of his role as a teacher. Aria realizes it may not go well telling her parents about Ezra.
Jenna tells Garret that the girls know about them, and are still digging. She tells him that it's time to talk to Jason. Later Garret shows up at Jason's and asks him where they stand now.
The Liars really seem to be spilling secrets this season. Slowly they are letting their walls down and we may be getting closer to them finally telling people about "A". We give this episode an B+, it may not be the most intense and things did not seem to flow as well but it is building things up nicely. There are two more episodes left before the show goes on hiatus.
In case you haven't heard, Pretty Little Liars is doing a special Halloween episode this fall to be a part of ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween. It gets better! The episode is going to be a prequel told from Alison's point of view! Fans will finally see the story through the eyes of Alison and understand her and all the Liars so much better.
The cast assures us that this will indeed be a frightening episode! Sounds like there is something big to look forward to this fall with your favorite Little Liars.
What does one call them? "Sinnie" seems appropriate for this student/teacher pair. Sav is falling for his teacher Winnie Oh, and she's not shooting him down.

Tonight Degrassi kicked off it's fourth week of Now or Never with an episode titled after a song by The Killers. They keep things fresh with a UFC inspired storyline and couple of strong subplots.
Drew has been practicing his underground mixed martial arts with Julian and Owen, and he has gotten pretty good. The boys are fighting secretly in the workout room. This situation has caught the attention of Katie who has been flirting with Drew. The boys warn Drew that they are risking getting suspended due to the school's zero tolerance of fights. They also notice a lot of anger built up in Drew. Drew shares his stories with Adam, and his brother questions if this has anything to do with Drew getting attacked. Drew later challenges the heavy set Mo to a fun fight. While Katie watches from the doorway, Drew shows off and takes down big Mo. Katie later questions him about it as she is doing a story for the paper, but promises to keep it anonymous. The two also admit their attraction to each other. Later Drew brags to his friends about taking down Mo and tells them that he trust Katie, even though they do not. They boys are surprised to see Mr. Simpson having a lock installed and requiring supervision in the weight room, after reading Katie's article. The guys blame Drew for telling Katie. Drew confronts Katie, who reminds him that she only promised to keep names out and shows no remorse for what she did. Katie has heard about Drew's past and offers to help him. Drew is offended and berates Katie for all she has done.
Alli and Dave are now officially a couple. Dave wants to hang out more, but Alli is worried about what her parents will say. Her dad happily gives her permission to go out with friends, but is clear that he thinks she is too young for relationships. At school, Dave points out that adults tend to love him and he is interested in meeting her parents. Alli apprehensive about rocking the boat now that her parents are finally warming up to her again. Clare suggest that she introduce Dave as a friend initially to keep things simple. Alli spends the afternoon prepping Dave to impress her parents. Dave is surprised to find out that he is not allowed to call her his girlfriend in front of her parents. Alli introduces "David" to her parents. Dave spends the afternoon lying about his interests and tastes to impress Alli's parents, which works. But finally Dave is tired of lying and leaves.
Holly J is picking out dresses for prom with Fiona. She is still troubled over her biological mother Dawn requesting $20,000 to give her a kidney. Fiona informs her that she already has a check getting written up to pay for it, and won't take no for an answer. Holly J eventually accepts Fiona's offer. Shortly after Fiona gets a call from her lawyer saying that it's not going to happen, as it is illegal to buy a kidney. Holly J confronts Dawn and begs her to give her the kidney. Dawn says she can't afford to take 3 months off of work to recover. Holly J angrily berates Dawn for this and calls her selfish as she storms out. During dialysis, Holly J is feeling tired of fighting for her life. But Fiona tells her that they won't give up.
This episode has a great build up so far, and a fresh new story that we haven't seen yet. This reminds us that Degrassi will always find new stories to tell. Tomorrow we will post the grade along with the recap of part two.
Alex Steele (sister of Cassie Steele) is returning to Degrassi. She will not be reprising her role as Angela Jeremiah. She will be playing a new niner named Tori. She is pictured above to the right of new character Maya Matlin (played by Olivia Scriven) who is the sister to Katie Matlin.
We now see that the uniform colors are assigned to grade level and not class. Therefore the characters are expected to change to the assigned colors of their new grades.
They will appear in the second half of season 11, which may return in early 2012.
Yet another reason to purchase the final season of Friday Night Lights on DVD. According to TV Guide, there is an Easter Egg that fans can look forward to. Jason Katims says that they originally had a speech from Coach Taylor going over the images at the very end, but they cut it out.
Only 3 weeks left of Degrassi: Now or Never! Last night they unleashed a new promo that dropped the jaws of Degrassi fans! (We'll post higher quality when available).
Also one of the new minor niners is beign reported! Olivia Scriven will be playing Maya Matlin, younger sister of Katie (Chloe Rose).
